OTTO-CHRIS
BASS – LEAD VOCALS – KEYBOARDS
Playing and making music since he can remember, Otto-Chris has always considered music a central theme in his life.
His primary instruments being piano and keyboards, his first inspiration came from bands such as Queen and Genesis. At sixteen he first picked up the bass guitar. Playing the bass changed his view on music and brought him new sources of inspiration. Progressive rock with all its sub- and peer genres became his new passion and never went away. Playing in bands and the odd musical production in the Nineties he always sought to add twists to the music.
After a hiatus filled with family and work, Otto-Chris resumed working on several music projects, on bass, guitar, keys and vocals, eventually amounting to being part of the band Kingfisher. This band, consisting of his Protone musical companions Bertil Visser and Maarten Heeringa, released the album The Emptiness Outside Of Me in 2016. After the pandemic this lineup, their new energy and musical ideas have now evolved into the band Protone and their debut album The Edge Of The Sun
